Hey everyone! I hope your week is going well, I know mine is. I am currently in sunny Sacramento, California for the Mu Phi Epsilon convention. It has been a very busy week with busniess meetings, ceremonies, networking, and attending breakout sessions. It has been my honor to represent the Zeta Lambda chapter and accepting awards on their behalf. I am excited to say that the Zeta Lambda chapter recieved the Outstanding Chapter award for the North Central Province, and Haley Rubin and myself were recognized for submitting over 100 hours of service over the past year. I am so proud of my little chapter!
They say that today starts the month of August, but it just does not seem like that could be true! That means that 10 days from now all three teachers will be meeting together for the first time in Minneapolis to start this crazy whirlwind adventure and in a short 14 days we will be landing in Guyana! It is somewhat starting to sink in that I really am moving to South America, but I don't think it will really feel real until I am on the plane and in the air from New York.
I want to thank everyone who was able to attend my benefit concert. Ya'll amaze me! Your support means the world to me and I can never thank you enough for all you have done. It was very humbling to see everyone filling up the sanctuary.
This is all the time I have right now, as I must head off to another meeting. I will blog again soon!
Yours in purple,
Kelli J. Lair
